As one of your graduation speakers in 1966 at Sioux Park, I began my speech with "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." In the 50 years since then and now we have all walked many miles. Now my husband and I are journeying through retirement and enjoying where it has led. I became an author by writing a children's book TURKEY TROUBLE.
Our journey will continue every day of our life as we pursue our plans and dreams. As the poet Robert Frost said I have "miles to go before I sleep." Happy journeys to all of you!
